Manchester Camerata is an orchestra based at The Monastery in Gorton, incorporated in 1973 and led by Music Director Gábor Takács-Nagy.

The ensemble performs across diverse settings, from lunchtime concerts at its home venue to major concert halls and community events across Greater Manchester, and collaborates with international artists and partners on orchestral projects, films and cross-disciplinary works.

The orchestra is recognised for its work in music, health and wellbeing. It hosts the UK's Centre of Excellence for Music and Dementia and runs the Music in Mind programme, developed with The University of Manchester, which supports thousands of people. Camerata also champions talent development and community engagement through free performances across all ten boroughs of Greater Manchester, and serves as Classic FM's only partner organisation in the region.
