Appletons is an independent landscape and environmental consultancy based in Bolton, Greater Manchester, established in 1984.

The practice provides landscape architecture, landscape planning, environmental assessment, ecology, and arboricultural services to clients across the North West and nationally.

The firm's chartered landscape architects deliver landscape designs, visualisations, construction specifications, planning applications, and contract administration. Ecologists undertake protected species surveys, biodiversity assessments, and net gain evaluations. Arboricultrists conduct tree surveys to British Standard BS5837, including impact assessments and protection planning. The multidisciplinary team supports commercial, residential, infrastructure, and leisure development projects from initial concept through completion.

Appletons holds Landscape Institute and CIEEM Registered Practice status, and is a Corporate Member of IEMA and Silver Member of Constructionline. Staff hold qualifications including Chartered status, Technician membership of the Arboricultural Association, and Associate membership of CIEEM.
